What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals. ~Norman Vincent Peale

If you haven’t read Dr Peale’s book ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’, stop right now and go read it!

Well, maybe not right this second but this is definitely a ‘must read’ book. Or if you are like me, I listened to it on Audible. And I listened to it about 40 times total.

I’m not even kidding. 40 times was what it took me for the message to get deep into my heart through my ears.

I joke with my friends that I rewired my brain with this book. I quote parts of to different people at different times. There are just so many things in there that are relevant and useful to everyday life.

The biggest takeaway of course was change your mind and change your life. This is the ‘becoming’ part of change. The mental part.

I had to change the way I was thinking, talking and acting. It had to go from negative thoughts to positive thoughts first.

Once I started thinking positive thoughts first, my whole world became more positive. I have less problems, the problems I do have seem smaller and overall I am happier.

I am now a convert to the idea of positive thinking and I invite you to start listening closely to the thoughts that populate your mind.

Are they mostly positive or mostly negative?
